ISOFIX is an internationally standardised car seat fitting system. It automatically locks your car seat – or car seat base – onto two metal clips (ISOFIX fixing points) between the vehicle seat of your car. No need to use the seat belt anymore.

By using ISOFIX to attach the child car seat to your car, it ensures a more secure and correct fitting, and a quick installation and removal process.

Top things for parents and carers to check before every trip

• Remove thick coats before strapping a baby in a car seat.
• Make sure the child’s harness is straight with no twists and tightly fastened (1 finger max between the chest buckle and the child’s body).

Car seats are independently tested and rated each year by the International Consumer Research & Testing (ICRT). A world-leading organisation that assesses consumer products, the ICRT, carries out its car seat tests together with the mobility clubs ADAC, TCS, ÖAMTC and consumer protection organization Stiftung Warentest. The ADAC is a central testing facility and is world-renowned as one of the leading testers of child car seats in Europe, while the German consumer association Stiftung Warentest is partly funded by the public to ensure its independence and does not accept any advertising.

How you can keep your Child Cool and comfortable in their car seats during those longer rides

Admit it - there is nothing more frustrating than being stuck in traffic on the hottest day of the year. How do you think your little ones feel in the back seat? They’ll be surrounded with thick fabric, tightly strapped, and with limited room to move.

When a child is approx. 4 years old, and their shoulders are above the lower shoulder height marker on the seat, it’s time to pick a booster seat for them. If they’re not quite there, keep them in a seat with an inbuilt harness until they are. When your child’s shoulders reach the upper shoulder height marker, at approx. 8 years of age, it’s time for them to come out of the booster car seat. Safety and comfort are still as vitally important as it was when you purchased your baby’s first car seat. Each child is different, and one booster seat might not fit the bill for all.
