Picket & Rail designs Tatami Storage® beds in Singapore for bedrooms where storage and space need to work harder. Storage is built directly into the bed platform, creating organised space for bedding, luggage, clothing, toys and other household items without adding more freestanding furniture.
Choose from extra-deep drawers up to 100 cm deep, top-opening compartments or mixed storage layouts, with fully wrapped interiors for a clean finished appearance.
Tatami Storage® beds are available in Single, Super Single, Queen, King and custom sizes. Each system can also be planned with wardrobes, study desks, bookshelves, storage headboards and full-height cabinetry to create a more integrated bedroom.
As needs change, these surrounding elements can be planned around the Tatami to support different ways of using the room—from a simple sleep-and-storage setup to a more complete study, wardrobe or bedroom system.
Standard Tatami construction uses 18 mm boards, with 25 mm options for areas requiring additional strength. Materials are formaldehyde-free, with durable surfaces designed to resist everyday moisture, heat and scratches.
Storage layouts can be selected according to how frequently items need to be accessed, whether through everyday drawers, larger top-opening compartments or a combination of both.
Visit our Singapore showroom to compare Tatami sizes, finishes and storage configurations, or send us your room dimensions to begin planning remotely. For more integrated layouts, our team can develop a 3D proposal incorporating the Tatami with surrounding cabinetry.

A Tatami Storage® bed is a platform bed with storage built into its base. Different areas can be configured with drawers, top-opening compartments or mixed storage layouts.
A conventional lift-up bed usually opens into one large storage area. Tatami Storage® beds divide the space into accessible compartments, allowing different items to be organised and reached separately.
Selected Tatami configurations feature extra-deep drawers of up to 100 cm, providing substantially more storage depth for everyday items.
Depending on the configuration, the compartments can accommodate bedding, luggage, seasonal clothing, toys, sports equipment and other household items.
Drawers are convenient for frequently used items, while top-opening compartments work well for bulkier or less frequently accessed storage. A mixed layout combines both within the same bed.
Tatami Storage® beds are available in Single, Super Single, Queen and King sizes, and any sizes or custom dimensions available for selected room requirements.
