*TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE*

Title of Goods

  • The Company shall remain title and possession of goods, until full payment for the purchased item(s) including service charges, has been made.

Customer Service Hotline

  • Customer Service Representatives are ready to serve you at Tel: 63697112/63697113/63697118 (from 10.00am to 12.00pm, 2.00pm to 4.00pm daily, Monday – Friday, except on Public Holidays).
  • For services on Public Holidays, Saturday, Sunday between hours and after office hours, please email us at customerservice@picketandrail.com or SMS us at 90911511/93283933.
  • Customers are requested to contact our Customer Service Representatives at least three (3) days in advance of their scheduled delivery date for the following:
    • Change in delivery date, time or address; and
    • Request for assembly services.

Delivery

  • Delivery service is available at a Basic Fee of $90.00 per visit per location (Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm). Saturday and after office hours deliveries are available at a Premium Fee of $120.00 per visit per location. There are no deliveries on Sunday & Public Holidays. There will be Additional Fees for manual deliveries up/down staircases and dismantling to fit building lift.
  • There will be NO BASIC Fee for delivery for purchases above $3000 in a single delivery, per invoice. There will be Additional Fees for manual deliveries up/down staircases and dismantling to fit building lift.
  • In the event the customer or their appointed representative is not present on the scheduled date and time of delivery, an additional delivery fee will be charged for the next visit ($90.00 for Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays and $120.00 for Saturday).
  • Customer shall be responsible for the rescheduling of any missed delivery; rescheduling of delivery can be made through our Customer Service Hotline.
  • Goods held for customers beyond 90 days from date of purchase will be billed at a rate of $10 per day thereafter for each piece of furniture, up to a maximum of 45 days, after which customers must take delivery regardless of circumstances or forfeit claimant rights of title of the furniture purchased earlier without compensation.
  • Our delivery personnel are not allowed to remove any item(s) from customers’ premises during delivery for any purpose including disposal unless it is an Ordered Service.
  • Prices for the above service maybe changed from time to time at the sole discretion of the Company

Assembly Charges

  • Assembly Service is available at $90.00 per furniture set.
  • There will be NO assembly charges for purchases above $3000.00.

Limit to Customer Claims

  • All customer claims are strictly limited to and shall not exceed the price of the purchased item(s) in question.
  • The Company will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage whatsoever that may occur through the misuse or alteration of any of its products.

Deposit

  • For purchases less than $5000.00, full payment must be made.

Refund

  • All goods sold are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Vouchers

  • Vouchers issued by Picket & Rail are strictly valid for regular-priced furniture and accessories purchases only.
  • Vouchers cannot be used to redeem, pay or offset any miscellaneous service charges.
  • All external vouchers issued from a different corporate entity besides Picket & Rail, will adhere strictly to the Company's Terms & Conditions of Sale.

Warranty

  • Picket & Rail and Factory Outlet Concept products use natural, handmade and recycled materials. Our products will therefore have the finishes and properties of such materials. Customers acknowledge that they are fully informed of such variations and imperfections inherent in such materials, and they do not constitute as defects.
  • Regular priced Picket & Rail items will have a 3 year Structural Warranty beginning from the date of delivery of the Product unless otherwise stated. This warranty does not cover loose joints, wear and tear. If the model originally purchased cannot be repaired or replaced, an equivalent model will be offered or a Picket & Rail cash voucher worth the depreciated value of the item based on a 3 year lifespan.
  • The Limited Warranty for Factory Outlet Concept and Discounted products extend for the first twelve (12) months beginning from the date of delivery of the Product unless otherwise stated. This warranty does not cover loose joints, wear and tear. If the model originally purchased cannot be repaired or replaced, an equivalent model will be offered or a Picket & Rail cash voucher worth the depreciated value of the item based on a 1 year lifespan.
  • The Limited Warranty does not cover clearance and display items sold.
  • Replaced Items for a warranty claim will only carry the remaining term of the original warranty.
  • There will be a labor charge of $90.00 per service visit per location during the warranty period except for the first 14 days after delivery.
  • Warning: Bonded/Synthetic Leather products cannot use standard leather polishes. Such polishes may cause the surface to peel or crack. Continuous exposure of Genuine as well as Bonded/Synthetic leather and indoor furniture to outdoor conditions, or intense sunlight will cause irreparable damage to your furniture. All of the above actions will void our Limited Warranty.
  • Our Picket & Rail premier mattresses have a 10 year limited parts warranty. Free or discounted mattresses have only a 1 year limited parts warranty, regardless of whatever is stated in any pre-packed warranty card. On-site visits during this warranty period are chargeable. Sleeping surfaces of mattresses as well as wear and tear are not covered by any warranty.
  • For any warranty claims, the Company has the right to inspect the furniture concerned. Failure to provide access will void all warranty obligations.
  • Our obligations are to the original purchaser/recipient. Any warranty obligations are voided if title of the furniture is transferred to another party.
  • Warranty does not cover bed platforms and slates.

Fully Informed

Customers accept that they are fully informed of the following:

    • For customized and made-on-demand furniture there will be a delivery wait of 3-10 weeks depending on the type of furniture. Delays maybe due to material shortage, shipping issues or weather affecting certain manufacturing processes.
    • Certain furniture will not have full or no finishes on certain surfaces and parts of the furniture; such as the bottoms of table tops, back of chests, tops of wardrobes, the bottom of drawers and bed slates. These examples are not exhaustive.
    • The Company uses cardboard and other materials for packaging most of its furniture. These materials may occasionally cause “Micro-scratches” to the surface of the furniture. These scratches are usually touched up by our delivery/service team on the day of delivery. These “Micro-scratches” do not constitute as defects.
    • We use natural materials for most of our furniture. The color, grain and texture of each furniture are unique. Every batch of wood, shellac, stains, leather and other materials have variations. This plus other factors will result in color, grain and texture variations. Aging and use will also affect the color and texture of furniture. This applies for customized as well as mass produced furniture.
    • Newly installed furniture will not level out immediately. Loading the furniture over a few (3-7) days will level the furniture. All the legs will contact the floor after a few days. Call our customer service hotline within the first 14 days of delivery if this does not happen.
    • Company employees have the right to work in a safe and non-abusive environment. Customers who are abusive or who display inappropriate behavior will not be served. This denial of service includes all on-site activities during the warranty period. Our legal obligation to visit the customer during the warranty period will be voided.
